MEET SHAWN DERRINGTON

Extension Expert, Entrepreneur, and Educator, Shawn Derrington is the founder and owner of Shawn Derrington Hair Studio. A salon studio located in the Baltimore metropolitan area of Columbia, Maryland.  Shawn is a licensed Cosmetologist and certified extension professional in the state of Maryland.. She attended Paul Mitchell the School in Jessup, Maryland.  

 

Shawn's speciality in extension services goes beyond the chair.  She is also an extension educator.  It is Shawn's philosophy that healthy hair and extensions can coexist.  She believes is redefining the astigmatism behind how extension services are viewed among African American women and women of color.

 

"Black women are not the only ethnic group that wear extension services.  We love our natural hair just like any other ethnic group and deserve to have glamorous extension styles that look flawless; as if the extension grew out of our scalp."
